“Bolivia, guided by its political constitution of the State and in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, recognizes the right to peace of all peoples of the world,” the text says.
It adds that, for this reason, it promotes cooperation between peoples in order to contribute to mutual knowledge, equitable development and the promotion of interculturality, with full respect for the sovereignty of States.
The text explains that the Highland Country consequently rejects any war as a tool to resolve disputes between states and condemns terrorism in all its forms, regardless of nationality or the place where it occurs.
“Therefore,” the letter says, “the Plurinational State of Bolivia has expressed its deepest concern in view of the new phase of confrontation in the Gaza region since October 7 last year and called for an immediate ceasefire.”
Also remember that life is humanity’s most valuable asset and that the lives of Palestinians and Israelis have equal value.
Likewise, in accordance with United Nations resolutions, the principles of international law and international humanitarian law, the Government of Israel is called upon to stop stigmatizing sovereign states and to comply with a number of commandments.
It primarily mentions respect for the right to life, human rights and peace of the Palestinian people like everyone else.
It calls for the immediate entry of international organizations and countries to provide humanitarian assistance and meet the basic needs of those deprived of food, medicine, electricity, fuel and water by Tel Aviv.
Urges the Israeli side to comply with the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly, in particular resolution A/ES/10L25 of 27 October 2023 calling for a ceasefire, and to make humanitarian assistance viable.
“Listen to the thousands upon thousands of voices of the people, leaders and governments of the world calling to stop the murder and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza,” the document emphasizes.
The statement called on Israeli troops to stop attacks on schools, hospitals and shelters for those trying to escape the bombs and weapons they constantly drop.
“The plurinational state of Bolivia will not silence its voice in the face of the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza under the false pretense of legitimate defense by the Israeli government,” affirms the Foreign Ministry.
