Bolivia's president warns against attempts to boycott industrialization for fear of its success in Bolivia English

LA PAZ, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) — Bolivian President Luis Arce warned this Tuesday against the existence of political interests that want to boycott the South American country's industrialization process.

“There are people who want to boycott and do not want us to advance in industrialization because they are afraid that we will suddenly show the way and demonstrate, as the engineer Jorge Zalesky did (with the construction of a foundry in Oruro) “ This is what Bolivia must embark on, the path of industrialization of our natural resources and all our resources that we have today,” he explained.

Arce pointed out that these “big” experts showed that the lies spread by the mining oligarchy and the conservative sectors only had the aim of preventing Bolivia from entering the industrialization phase.

In his comparison, he emphasized that the current government faces a similar situation from interested sectors, but reiterated his position to consolidate the long-awaited dream of Bolivians to industrialize the country.

The government's plan envisages the construction of 150 industrial plants in various sectors with a significant investment of more than 29,000 million bolivianos ($4,167 million) in various areas.

As an example of this commitment, Arce highlighted the construction of the first camelid industrialization plant in the municipality of Turco, in Oruro (West), a project that will benefit thousands of farming families.

Arce explained that industrialization is the horizon that Bolivia and its government are pursuing, stressing that this path leads to the creation of stable and sustainable jobs, an increase in family income and an improvement in their quality of life.

The President reiterated the Government's commitment to industrialization as a key path to Bolivia's sustainable development and economic independence.
