Bolsonaristas boycott See you after advertising with Felipe Neto

On X, politicians and personalities use the hashtag “#Bis NuncaMais”; Government senators defend the influencer

Politicians and personalities linked to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) promoted on social media a boycott of the chocolate manufacturer Lacta for an advertising campaign by Bis with the influencer and YouTuber Felipe Neto. He is critical of Bolsonaro and supported President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the 2022 elections.

On X (formerly Twitter) the hashtag “#Bis NuncaMais” was used to criticize advertising featuring Neto. The term was included in the social network’s trending topics.

“And of course #Bis NuncaMais,” wrote federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PLMG) on his profile.

The leader of the opposition in the Chamber of Deputies, Carlos Jordy (PLRJ), published a picture of KitKat chocolates from Nestlé and said that “no one will finance Felipe Neto in his house.”

Federal MP André Fernandes (PLCE) said he liked the boycott, explaining that the influencer and YouTuber “is one of the guys who preaches the most hate on the Brazilian internet.”

“This is a lesson! #BisNeverMore”, he wrote on X

“Bi hasn’t posted anything for three days and acts like he doesn’t know Felipe Neto. “How annoying, isn’t it… but it’s deserved,” he wrote the former president of the FCP (Fundação Cultural Palmares) during the Bolsonaro government, Sérgio Camargo (PLSP). He ran as a member of the Bundestag in 2022, but was not elected.

Speaking to Meio&Mensagem, the company that owns Lacta, Mondelez said that the hiring of influencers is “solely related to their relevance in the gaming and entertainment universe, without any connection or political support of any kind.”

“As the leader in snacks in Brazil and around the world, Mondelez affirms its absolute respect for diversity of opinion,” he said. The campaign with Felipe Neto was announced on Tuesday (October 10) as part of the “PodPah” podcast.

GOVERNMENTISTS SUPPORT FELIPE NETO

In response to the boycott, Senators Humberto Costa (PTPE) and Randolfe Rodrigues (no partyAP), head of government in the National Congress, supported the influencer. In a video posted on social media, the two are seen eating bis. Humberto also says that it is “a waste of time for Bolsominions to want to attack Felipe Neto.”

“For those who consume chloroquine, boycotting such delicious chocolate is a compliment!” Randolfe wrote.

For those who used chloroquine, the boycott of this delicious chocolate is a compliment! Like this @felipenetoIn 2022, Brazil demanded a BIS for everything our country has to offer: a vaccine in the arm, a booming economy and food on the plate. Now all that’s left is Bolsa Bis so people can stay… pic.twitter.com/nRZVYRxyeq
