She also hinted at the intensity she brings to a role: “Acting is the opposite of running away. It illuminates something.’

In the shoot, styled by Alex Carl, Taylor looks incredible and lets fashion do the talking while eschewing jewelry and over-the-top makeup.

The first look is strapless and has a cream lining with soft vertical ruffles.

The leather dress and gloves feature an eye catching eyelet design and complementary fringe tassels.

Russell rocks one hairstyle throughout the photo story — her signature ear-length bob styled in a side part, with the straight locks tucked behind her ears.

“Taylor earned her success the hard way. She’s not a nepotism baby,” the caption begins, referring to NY Magazine’s recent explosive report.

“After graduating from high school, Russell enrolled in an acting class and soon after found an agent,” the blurb explains her journey to the big screen.

“Saving money, she drove up the coast from Vancouver, where she was then living, to Los Angeles – a 20-hour drive – and auditioned for as long as possible,” it said.

With a convincing headshot of the beauty, Harper’s writes, “In Hollywood, it’s frighteningly easy to go disposable.

“Obsession inevitably gives way to indifference. Actors, especially young women, have very little influence in an industry still ruled mostly by white male studio heads.’

The note continued, “So Taylor is right to protect her image and sanity, especially as a young woman of color. But Russell carves his own space.’
