William Bonner and Renata LoPrete spearheaded coverage of the first round of the 2022 election on Globo and were highly acclaimed for their live chemistry. Despite the political polarization, the two took the issue lightly, demonstrated mastery of the issue, and “held the ball” for more than seven hours that Sunday (2).
At the end of the coverage, the Jornal Nacional host opened up about his past with Lo Prete before he found fame. “Renata Lo Prete spent seven and a half hours in the studio! Congratulations! And I spent seven hours. back in time”.
At the start of the investigation, Renata also celebrated partnering with William Bonner. “It is a pleasure to be with you in this election. With you and everyone who will accompany us in the calculation of these very important elections,” she said.
Throughout the investigation, Bonner and Renata showed a lot of affinity and even played live. The journalist praised his colleague’s performance in mastering the cards that appeared on the screen to display the results.
