Boris Bédé will continue his career here

Former Université Laval Rouge et Or kicker Boris Bédé will wear the colors of a third team in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

On Tuesday, the Edmonton Elks announced they had agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the 34-year-old Frenchman.

After a successful five-season stay – during which he won two Vanier Cup titles – with the Rouge et Or, Bédé moved to the Montreal Alouettes. He played five seasons with the Belle Province team (2015-2019) and then worked for the Toronto Argonauts (2021-2023).

Last year with the Queen City team, the veteran made 37 of his 39 field goal attempts. He also led the CFL in kickoff yards (6,194) and kickoff yardage average (71.2).

Bédé has been named an Ambrosie Tour Eastern All-Star player three times (2015, 2021 and 2023).
