After the great success of the last edition, broadcast last spring, Max Giusti returns from Monday 9 January in prime time on Rai2 with “Boss Incognito”, the docu-reality show that tells the stories of the entrepreneurs , who have decided to face the challenge of working in disguise with their collaborators for a week: disguised, with a new identity and a new physical appearance, thanks to the hairstyle and makeup. But it will not only be the bosses who will go undercover: as in the previous two editions, Max Giusti will also enter the field and transform himself into Josè, a worker of Chilean origin who goes on a mission on behalf of the boss, replacing him at some occasions.
This season, there will be five episodes dedicated to new businesses, new entrepreneurs, and new workers whose work is making our country great.
At the first appointment of this new season, Claudio Papa, boss of Dolceamaro, a leading company in the processing of sweetened almonds, chocolate and pastries, will work undercover. Based in Monteroduni, in the province of Isernia, the company has 70 employees, a factory of 8,000 square meters and 1,500 hectares of organic almond and hazelnut groves, essential raw materials for the production of sweetened almonds and praline chocolate, and exports its sweets for an annual turnover of 9 million euros in thirty countries around the world. During the episode, Claudio Papa will be at the forefront with his collaborators: Maria, with whom he will make the chocolate-covered coffee beans; Elena for packaging chocolate bars and sweetened almonds; Gianluca, with whom he will prepare the colorful macaroons; and Liliana, who will be making the chocolate bars with the boss. Max Giusti, in the role of Josè, will instead work with Carmela on the company’s flagship product: sugared almonds. Can the Boss and Max Giusti avoid detection on their stealth mission? Not everything will go well.
The “boss incognito” experience allows bosses to work side-by-side with their employees, getting to know better who works for them and discovering more from within the strengths and weaknesses of their organization. On the other hand, workers can, without knowing it, make themselves known to their owners, often considered unreachable, but also get to know them personally and not only professionally. Two normally separate and distant worlds have the opportunity to meet and understand each other better.
The workers, busy working with their boss or with Max Giusti (both in disguise), are told – not to make them suspicious – that “Missione lavoro” is being filmed, a new fact that will break the world of Italian entrepreneurship and the Italian work tells in a difficult and challenging time, not only for companies but for the whole country. Only after the week of shooting at the company do the workers find out that they are supported in their work by their boss and partly by Max Giusti, who reveals his true identity.
In the next few episodes there will be a company engaged in the confectionery industry, a bags and accessories company, another engaged in the cultivation and processing of mushrooms, and a company specializing in the manufacture and marketing of roller shutters and sunscreen products.
Boss Incognito is produced in collaboration with Endemol Shine Italy, based on the Undercover Boss format developed by Studio Lambert and licensed by All3media International Limited. It is a program written by Francesca Picozza (Project Director), Alessia Eleuteri, Maria Grazia Giacente and Giuliano Rinaldi. Directed by Alberto Di Pasquale. Producer Rai Corrado Pacetti.
