Having a mechanic you can trust is extremely valuable, but having one who cares about the welfare of their employees is extraordinary; our boss of the week is a role model in both areas.
Alexandre Martin is the owner of the Daniel Martin garage in Saint-Césaire in Montérégie and the lucky recipient of the trophy “Boss of the week” of the program “À vos affaires”.
Many of his employees want to explain why they think he is an exceptional boss.
“Having driven several garages in the past I would say it’s pretty much the best I’ve had to date. The well-being of his employees is important to him. When he sees someone’s potential, he helps them grow,” explains Vincent.
“It’s a boss who comes to us who at least knows that we’re not shooting or that there’s a problem in the garage,” says René.
For Étienne, it is Alexandre Martin’s initiative that makes him an exceptional boss.
“It’s a minimum training per month that we have for the mechanics; eight to ten hours of training,” he says gratefully.
Alexandre Martin himself agrees that the well-being of his employees is fundamental.
“I think about my employees a lot, I make sure they are good at their jobs, that they have everything they need,” he says.
