Despite the presence of Celine Dion in the credits of the film, the romantic comedy Love again (Love again) didn’t let the crowds run into the dark rooms. The feature film, which opened last Friday to more than 2,700 screens in Canada and the United States, grossed just $2.4 million at the North American box office in its first three days in cinemas.

This very disappointing start was even called a “flop” by Variety magazine on Sunday. To Love Again had to settle for sixth place at the box office, well behind the superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, which took first place with sales of $114 million.
Variety also notes that Loving Again received just 17% positive reviews on benchmark website Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from industry journalists. “Luckily, the film only cost $9 million to make,” the magazine added.
Remember Celine Dion plays herself in this Jim C. Strouse romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan. The film tells the story of a heartbroken journalist who has to write a portrait of the Quebec diva and enlists her help to meet a young woman who is grieving over the death of her fiancé. The film’s soundtrack features five new songs by Celine Dion.
