Boxing: Artur Beterbiev still champion

In what at times looked like a street fight, Artur Beterbiev defeated Britain’s Anthony Yarde in the eighth round in London to retain his IBF (seventh title defense), WBC and WBO belts.

The adopted Montrealer improved his perfect record to 19-0-0 (19 KOs) against the Englishman, seven years his junior.

The Marc Ramsay protégé will now try to convince Dmitry Bivol to play against him. The Russian, WBA belt holder, has the only major title to have escaped Beterbiev at 175 pounds.

Beterbiev fought his first fight since winning at the expense of Joe Smith Jr. by knockout. on June 18th.

Ahead of the expected clash, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury were introduced to the crowd ahead of their fight on February 26 in the ring at Wembley Arena.
