French boxer Christian Mbilli made the weight, just like his opponent Carlos Gongora, Wednesday noon, in view of their duel that will take place on Thursday evening at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal.

Mbilli (23-0-0, 20 KOs), 26, will defend his WBC Continental Americas and WBA International titles against Ecuadorian Carlos Gongora (21-1-0, 16 KOs). The latter held the IBO world super middleweight crown in 2021 and is looking to return to the heights of world boxing. Gongora floated the scales at 167.2 pounds, while Mbilli reported a weight of exactly 167 pounds.
In the heavyweight division, Simon Kean (22-1-0, 21 KOs) meets veteran Eric Molina (29-8-0, 21 KOs) in the semifinals of the gala. The Trifluvien weighed 248.8 lbs.
