Jake Paul (6-1-0, 4 KOs), known for his numerous appearances on social media such as the YouTube platform, pursues a parallel career as a boxer and his unbeaten streak ended in a split decision loss at the hands of Tommy Fury (9-0-0, 4 KOs), half-brother of heavyweight Tyson Fury, in a very close eight-round duel.
That verdict certainly didn’t sit well with Drake, who stated prior to the confrontation that he had bet $400,000 on a knockout win. by Paul. “Shit, it’s Drake’s fault,” the loser commented at a press conference. Drake, my friend, why did you do this to me?’
“But it’s my fault,” he added. $400,000 means nothing to him. He used to make a lot more money betting on me. At the moment his record is probably even.”
It’s not the first misprognosis for the Canadian artist. Drake has been widely credited for his support for his teams, all of which, with the exception of the spring 2019 NBA champions Toronto Raptors, suffered inopportune defeats. Also, the newspaper “The Chron” reported that the rapper won only once in seven Super Bowl bets.
“I’m sorry, Drake. I’ll win the rematch,” said Paul, who has a clause in his contract that gives him the chance to recover against Fury.
