Daniel Saunders, a student at Bishop’s Stortford, England, turns 11 today, November 11th. He was born at exactly 11:11 am. And now he’s celebrating his “special” birthday, which he calls “exciting” — and that’s not even for the 11 gifts he got from mom Charlotte and dad Jason.
Speaking to UK portal Metro.Uk, Daniel said: “I was really looking forward to this birthday. He’s more exciting than anyone. Eleven is a master number in numerology and means I have a lot of potential for the future.”
He adds: “It’s my lucky number and it’s easy to remember. Nobody ever forgets my birthday!” Daniel was to be born on November 17, 2011. But a week earlier, his mother, Charlotte, was told her son was in an uncomfortable position.
The doctors tried to move him, but it didn’t work. Charlotte, now 41, scheduled a caesarean section on November 11, 2011. Daniel’s birth was scheduled for early morning but was delayed on the day as he was positioned under his mother’s ribs making it difficult to pull him out.
His father Jason, who runs a land maintenance business, said today’s date is really important to the family.

Charlotte adds: “It’s amazing that he was born at all 11. It’s been my lucky number since I was a kid, very special.” Says the mother who said she shared this happiness with her son.
The father, Jason, 42, says: “We never thought that it was possible that he would be born on 11/11/2011 at 11:11 am.” He says the doctor confirmed that there was no chance that he was born at 11:11 a.m. but that it happened because of the position of the fetus.
The mother concludes that the family does not forget that Daniel was born on a touching day in history. She points out, “It makes the day special. You think about the war and all the lost relatives, so you have an extra moment to think,” she said, referring to the Syrian government’s attacks in Homs that drew attention… to the world.
Daniel’s birthday was one of the most discussed topics on the internet today.
