The 31-year-old athlete suffered a lower body injury. He missed his team’s first game, which they lost 4-1 to the Vegas Golden Knights last Tuesday.

During this duel, Tanev was sneakily hit in the head by attacker Brett Howden. The Golden Knights representative was ejected from the game and subsequently received a two-game suspension.

Tanev, a former member of the Winnipeg Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins, is currently playing his third season with the Kraken. Last year he scored 16 times and provided 19 assists for 35 points in 82 appearances.
