Bray Wyatt: The WWE Family commemorates fellow wrestler with tattoos after his tragic death aged 36

Following Bray Wyatt’s tragic death, some of his fellow WWE Superstars have decided to commemorate the wrestler with tattoos.

Several WWE Stars have posted pictures or videos tattooed with Wyatt’s “Firefly” logo.

Wyatt died earlier this week of a heart attack at the age of 36 after a long battle with an unknown illness.

Posts on Instagram by wrestlers like Braun Strowman, Karrion Kross, Rob Fee and Shotzi show them getting their logo inked to commemorate their former colleague.

Both Fee and Shotzi were seen on video getting the job done – while Strowman and Kross posted to their Instagram accounts.

Wyatt’s death was announced in a tweet from WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, who said, “I just got a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member has passed away for life Windham Rotunda – also known as…” Bray Wyatt – died unexpectedly earlier today.

“Our thoughts are with his family and we ask everyone to respect their privacy at this time.”

The three-time WWE World Champion had not competed since defeating LA Knight in a Mountain Dew pitch black match at the Royal Rumble in January.

He was reportedly poised to make a comeback after being allowed back into the ring.

Although he had been re-established medical clearance to wrestle, WWE had taken precautions to ensure his long-term health stability after the illness, which was believed to be both professionally and life-threatening.

According to the report, the Florida-born star’s prospects had improved significantly and the company was making creative plans for the former WWE Champion.

September was set for a possible return, but nothing was officially set in stone.

Last night on the weekly episode of SmackDown, WWE honored Wyatt with a minute’s silence and traditional ten-bell salute, as well as former WWE Star Terry Funk, who also passed away this week at the age of 79.

Commentator Michael Cole said, “Tonight on Friday Night Smackdown we will honor her legacy and celebrate her life.” “The lives of two incredible men who touched us all with their passion, creativity and spirit.”

The likes of Triple H, Cody Rhodes, Bobby Lashley and Erick Rowan – who previously appeared as the third member of the WWE Wyatt Family before being fired from the organization – bowed their heads at the thought of the couple.

SmackDown also held a separate tribute solely for Wyatt, who previously reigned as tag team champion under the Freebird rule along with Luke Harper and Randy Orton.

After showing a montage of his best moments in WWE, cameras panned to an empty wooden chair he is known to be sitting in before fans erupted into a poignant rendition of his theme song, “He’s got the Whole World in his Hands.”

Following the tragic news, there were numerous tributes for the wrestler known as “The Fiend”. Johnson, who praised his “cool and rare character,” conducted the voice chorus.

“I am heartbroken at the news of Bray Wyatt’s death. I always had great respect and love for him and the Rotunda family.” he wrote. “Loved his presence, his promos, his work in the ring and his association with him [WWE] Universe.

“Very unique, cool and rare character that’s hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling.’ Still processing the loss of the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today.’

“My love, light, strength and mana to the Rotunda family and the Funk family at this difficult, heartbreaking time.”

Wyatt is survived by his fiancé, WWE ring announcer JoJo, and their two children, as well as ex-wife Samantha Rotunda and their two daughters.
