So far, the contestants in the brackets are set to two countries to win it all.
Brazil and Argentina are the two teams most often picked for the finals among the competing groups, with France and England rounding out the top four semi-final picks. The tournament’s co-favourites, Spain and Germany, were selected in fewer groups than the USA to reach the semifinals.
Brazil and Argentina are in over 25% of the finals groups with 28.2% and 27.7% respectively – much, much higher than the United States (10.7%) and France (7.1%).

In our groups, Argentina and Brazil are not only the favorites for the final, they also have relatively weak groups. So it makes sense that for a large majority of bracket entries, these two teams would come out of their respective groups and win them outright.
The Netherlands also benefit from a low profile group that includes host country Qatar. Although the Dutch are not among the favorites to reach the final or even the semifinals, they are the second most popular choice to win their group with 78.3%. England and France complete the top five.
And don’t worry about the United States — the USMNT is the most common pick to finish second in Group B (58.4%) and advance to the knockout stages.

To advance to the round of 16
- Brazil: 92.5%
- Argentina: 79.2%
- England: 66.7%
- France: 64.9%
- Portugal: 57.8%
- United States: 45%
Brazil leads the way as the team most picked to reach the round of 16, with an overwhelming percentage of brackets in their favour.
Defending champions France surprisingly have a little less support than England to reach the round of 16. England have only won the tournament once, back in 1966.
The USMNT is also a popular team to reach the round of 16, with 45% of the contestants showing some love for the young team.

- Argentina: 67.7%
- France: 43.7%
- Portugal: 26.1%
- England: 25.2%
- United States: 19.4%
Unsurprisingly, Brazil remain at the top and defending champions France are also gaining popularity.
On the other hand, bracket contenders aren’t too confident of England progressing to the quarters. The Three Lions move from having the third-highest probability of reaching the Round of 16 to the fifth-highest probability of reaching that stage.

- Brazil: 39.9%
- Argentina: 34%
- France: 28.2%
- England: 14.6%
- United States: 13.6%
The parenthesis entries are nothing if not consistent. Brazil and Argentina are still the top two teams supported to reach the last four. But there’s a surprise – the United States is right there, along with England, as a popular choice to reach the semis.
In other words, the participants are cheering the USMNT on for a deep run.

Brazil and Argentina continue to shine, but perhaps as a measure of our country’s pride, the USMNT is the third most-picked country to make it to the 2022 World Cup Finals.
