A Google search for fashion and beauty brings up some interesting data
To conduct the unprecedented survey, Google surveyed a total of 1,000 consumers to study their fashion and beauty consumption habits.
In addition, another survey of 2,000 Brazilians on the most important trends in this segment was commissioned from Offerwise.
According to the data received, most Brazilians are likely to maintain or increase their purchases of fashion and beauty products over the next 12 months. 68% of all respondents expressed this claim when asked about fashion.
When asked about beauty, the number was even higher, reaching 83% of the participants.
Also, according to the information gathered, consumers are now more vigilant than they used to be. They are increasingly looking for wellness products and brands whose purpose aligns with their personal values.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for products that not only make them look good, but also make them feel good. They want brands to have a story and show credibility beyond their products, not just lip service,” said Farouk Azanki, director of beauty segment at Google Brazil, in an official statement.
Overall, 7 out of 10 Brazilians use beauty products to feel good, regardless of what others think. 17% of beauty consumers and another 7% of fashion consumers say they prefer to buy from brands that align with their principles and values.
Finally, it was found that the main concern of Brazilians is to take good care of their hair. This was stated by 44% of those surveyed, the other topics are perfume, skin and makeup.
