BRASILIA, 20th April (RHC) Former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced this Tuesday that on May 7th he will launch his candidacy for the country’s presidency within the Labor Party (PT).
Da Silva explained on his official Twitter account that he foresees that next October’s election will be “a polarizing election” but people should not fear as this trend has always existed.
“I am used to voting in elections. I am neither pleased nor saddened by the investigation. I think we have a good record of governments. I will start my candidacy on May 7th and then I want to visit Brazil,” the former president wrote in a tweet.
“I don’t want to stay live (on digital platforms), I want to travel around Brazil, I want to hug, I want to kiss, I want to greet the people of every Brazilian state because it’s that chemical connection of the relationship between people that people.” to decide who to vote for in October,” he said.
