Brazilian model wins Miss Grand International
The model Isabella Menin won the Miss Grand International, one of the largest beauty pageants in the world, this Tuesday (25th) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The 26yearold Brazilian competed alongside Miss Thailand, Engfa Waraha, in the final.
Hailing from Marília, an inland town of São Paulo, Isabella was crowned by the 2021 winner, Nguyen Thuc Tien of Vietnam. After 51 years, the model broke the fast without crowns in Brazil’s international beauty pageants. The last Brazilian win was in 1971 with Lúcia Petterle at Miss World.
The model earned her degree in Economics in the UK, where she lived for years, and before focusing on competition, Isabella was based in Turkey earlier this year to work in the fashion and advertising industries.
Third place went to Miss Indonesia, Andina Julie. Next up are Venezuela, Luiseth Materán, and the Czech Republic, Mariana Becková, respectively fourth and fifth in the world competition.
