Brazilian nannys daughter 18 is one of 120 Hamas hostages

Brazilian nanny’s daughter, 18, is one of 120 Hamas hostages, says family

Among them is the daughter of a Brazilian 155 Israelis were taken hostage by Hamas in Gaza. The family says they received the information from the Israeli government itself after a DNA sample failed to identify it among them more than 1,300 dead for the attack by the extremist group a week ago.

Nanny Celeste Fishbein, 18, was living in a kibbutz, a type of rural community in Israel, when she disappeared after the Hamas invasion. The main hypothesis is that she was kidnapped by members of the extremist group.

In recent days, the family searched hospitals and information centers in Israel for information about Celeste’s whereabouts. But the collection of a DNA sample from her mother compared to the bodies of those killed in the attack suggests she was among the Hamas hostages, according to information provided by the Israeli government to Celeste’s relatives.

“Celeste worked as a nanny near the Gaza Strip. [O governo de Israel também confirmou que] Your phone is in Gaza. This suggests that she is one of the people taken hostage by Hamas. Apparently she was taken with her boyfriend. We hope he’s alive. We have great hope that everything will turn out well, even if it is in the hands of these Hamas murderers. Unfortunately, many people were murdered,” says Mario Ricardo Fishbein, Celeste’s uncle.

Celeste’s uncle also said that other family members only escaped the attack because they hid in a bunker. “My 94yearold mother, her caregiver, my sister and my nephew were at home when they were locked there for 20 hours to avoid the attack while terrorists did everything they could to exterminate them,” Fishbein reported in an interview for the report.

He also said the family stayed in touch with Celeste via WhatsApp. “But then we lost contact with her and my family was saved,” he said.
