Brazilian Winery Breaks Record, Earning BRL 500 Million in 2022

Salton earned BRL 500 million in 2022. The result is the highest in the 112 years of existence of the Brazilian winery. In addition, the number represents a 10% growth compared to 2021.

According to the Brazilian winery, this achievement will meet the target of R$ 1 billion by 2030. “The year 2022 brought challenges and new ways to make our business a success, with innovations and projects that encourage us to do more and more, invest our efforts in protecting the environment, saving our resources and caring about our stakeholders said Maurício Salton, CEO of Salton.

Around 25 million bottles were sold, including sparkling wines, wines and soft drinks, according to Forbes magazine. And another 18 million bottles of spirits.

The Brazilian winery exported around 1 million bottles to around 30 countries. Of these, six are open markets in 2022: Ghana, France, Netherlands, Maldives, New Zealand and Hong Kong. For sales to other countries, the highlight was the United States, where Salton is responsible for 96% of Brazilian sparkling wine sales.

In 2022, the Brazilian agribusiness exported just over 8 million liters of wine. Thus, this volume resulted in sales of almost 15 million US dollars.

The shipments reached 83 destinations between independent countries and territories. Topping the Brazilian wine sales list are Paraguay ($7.5 million), the United States ($2.5 million), Uruguay ($1 million), Haiti ($750,000) and China ( $450,000).
