Breakfast with beer
Weißwurstfrühstück is a type of breakfast served with sausages and beer. This type of meal actually occurs a little later than the early hours of the morning but before lunch.
It is a common meal in many places in Germany and consists of white sausages, soft snacks, sweet mustard and wheat beer.
In Munich there are often restaurants that serve the food. According to tradition, this custom may have originated in 1857 when a butcher decided to boil the sausages instead of frying them.
