BREAKING: Alex Murdaugh convicted of two internal disciplinary charges related to Fox Nation documentary

Alex Murdaugh was convicted of two internal prison disciplinary charges after he conducted a news interview and used another inmate’s PIN number to make a call.

The convicted murderer, 55, is serving two consecutive life sentences for murdering his wife Maggie and son Paul on their Moselle hunting property in South Carolina in 2021.

The interview and information he gave his attorney on August 9th was for a Fox Nation docuseries called “The Fall of the House of Murdaugh,” scheduled to air on August 31st.

The incident report filed at the jail states: “Murdaugh intentionally and knowingly abused his telephone privileges to communicate with the news and media for his own benefit.”

Murdaugh had a disciplinary hearing on the new charges on August 28 and lost his phone, tablet and cafeteria privileges for 30 days.

The South Carolina Department of Corrections said in a statement: “Inmates in the custody of the S.C. Department of Corrections are not permitted to conduct interviews.”

“SCDC’s interview policy is based on victims’ rights and has a long tradition.” The ministry believes that victims of crime should not see or hear the person who victimized them or their family members in the news.

“Inmates lose the privilege of speaking to the news media when they enter SCDC.”

The department will decide when and whether inmate Murdaugh will be given another opportunity to be given a tablet.

It continued: “The charges include providing information to the news media for an interview and using an inmate’s PIN number to make a telephone call.”

“These allegations violate SCDC’s policy on interviewing inmates and our policy against inmate sharing of PIN numbers.” They do not constitute a violation of the law.

“Murdaugh provided the interview information to his attorney as part of a court hearing.”

“Court calls are not recorded or monitored on the inmate phone system in accordance with attorney/client privilege.”

“Attorney Jim Griffin recorded Murdaugh reading the information and provided it to the media.”

Murdaugh is currently in protective custody at an undisclosed state prison after being convicted in March of the shooting deaths of his 22-year-old son, Paul, and his 52-year-old wife, Maggie.

The disgraced South Carolina lawyer’s eldest son said he doesn’t believe it’s possible his 55-year-old father killed Maggie and Paul on their hunting property in 2021.

He said, “I think I have a very unique perspective that nobody else in this courtroom has ever had.” And I know the love that I’ve experienced.

“I was there for six weeks, studying it, and I think it was a mess from the start.”

Buster, 26, was also pointed at over the death of his schoolmate Stephen Smith, 19, in 2015 – and claimed the pair had had a gay relationship.

But in the interview he denied any connection to it, adding: “I never had anything to do with his murder and I never had anything to do with him on a physical level in any way.”

He took aim at the police and the judge, claiming they had a “shitty motive” and he “didn’t think it was fair” that all 12 jurors found him guilty.

“I was there for six weeks studying it, and I think it was a lopsided table from the start,” Buster said.

“And I think unfortunately a lot of the jury thought that way before they had to deliberate.

“It was preordained in their minds before they ever heard a shred of evidence presented in this room.”

He believes the jury ultimately found his father guilty of the shootings because “they could read anything they could read before the trial.”
