Aston Martin has announced that Lance Stroll will miss this week’s pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit following a training accident.
Stroll was involved in what was described as a “minor” incident and has sustained injuries that will rule him out of the three-day session on February 23-25.

Aston Martin added that they expect Stroll to “recover quickly” and will return to driving duty in due course, with his fitness being assessed daily.
An update will be released ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled for March 3-5.
It is not clear whether Aston Martin will call in its reserve drivers, Stoffel Vandoorne and/or Felipe Drugovich, or allow Fernando Alonso to complete the full test in Stroll’s absence.
“I had an unfortunate accident while training on my bike in preparation for the season,” Stroll explained of the situation in a press release from Aston Martin on Monday afternoon.
