Sergeant Halpern reports that he asked her on a scale of one to ten how drunk she was and heard her murmur a reply saying she was at eight. The woman then asked for a lawyer and refused when the first police officers tried to give her a drink driving test.

According to the police report, Komoroski began crying for her boyfriend, apparently trying to hide his eyes. Sergeant Halpern noted that Komoroski was having trouble standing, but claimed he was fine when police tried to get her out of the car to examine her balance. The sergeant reported that Komoroski looked dazed.

It was said that she would start screaming for her boyfriend at any moment and then look at the rubble and scream. Sergeant Halpern pointed out in his report that the officer who arrested Komoroski was forced to repeat the reason for the arrest three times, as the woman refused to get into the police car and looked confused.

Sergeant Halpern wrote: ‘This is a clear indication that someone is drunk; it keeps repeating itself after the question has already been answered. Komoroski remains in detention and has been refused bail. She is charged with three counts of drunk driving resulting in death or serious bodily harm and manslaughter.
