British activists seize Israeli arms dealer

Activists from the Palestine Action Group on Monday occupied a British company that packs, transports and exports Israeli arms, in protest at the recent “Israeli” bombings in the Gaza Strip.

In videos released by the organization via social media, two men in orange uniforms can be seen banging the metal panels of the roof of Good Packing in the English town of Tamworth with sledgehammers.

The protesters, two of whom were arrested by police, also smashed windows and security cameras and threw red paint on walls.

There is no impunity for “Israel” or anyone involved in the massacres we’ve seen, said a spokesman for Palestine Action, which has been fighting all Israeli companies making arms in Britain and their trading partners since 2020.

According to the activists, the Good Packing company is engaged in the packing, transporting and exporting of military drones, which are manufactured at a nearby facility by Elbit System, the largest Israeli arms manufacturer.

Palestine Action also accuses Elbit System of using Gaza and other Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories to test the weapons it manufactures before selling them on the international market.

Weeks ago, the Israeli arms manufacturer closed its London headquarters and at least one of its factories in the UK due to ongoing protests.

“We will not stop until we achieve the closure of the eight facilities that remain in the country,” Palestine Action said last June.

At least 45 Palestinians, including 15 minors, died in the Gaza Strip this weekend as a result of Israel’s bombing of suspected targets belonging to Islamic Jihad, an organization fighting to liberate areas occupied by Tel Aviv.
