Britney Spears sheds light on her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s failed attempt to make it as a rapper in her upcoming memoir The Woman in Me.
The “Toxic” singer brutally writes, “Bless his heart” as he reflects on K-Fed taking his short-lived rap career “so seriously,” Us Weekly reported Friday.
Spears, 41, also expressed that the public “doubted” Federline’s musical talents during their marriage, according to the magazine.
Federline, 45, famously debuted in 2005 with his first song, “Y’all Ain’t Ready,” followed by the critically acclaimed “Popozão.”
In 2006 he released his first – and only – album, “Playing with Fire”.

A Rolling Stone reviewer wrote that “Federline’s rhyme flow is the opposite of tight,” while a Slant Magazine critic said the album was “just as throwaway and stupid as you’d expect.”
Meanwhile, a Billboard writer joked, “In general, Federline speaks well.”
Federline’s music career was a far cry from Spears’ own success as a chart-topping pop superstar.

The Grammy winner and the former backup dancer married in October 2004.
During their marriage they had two sons: Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17.
The couple announced their separation in November 2006 and finalized their divorce in July 2007.

While the exes co-parented their children for years, Preston and Jayden lived with their father full-time while their mother fought to end her 13-year guardianship in 2021.

Despite her years of estrangement from her boys, Page Six exclusively reported that the “Stronger” singer has dedicated her memoir to them.
K-Fed’s attorney recently told us that Preston and Jayden started texting their mother again before moving to the Aloha State.

Spears’ book, which hits stores on October 24, promises to reveal a lot about her family drama and past relationships.
She even revealed that she had a “torturous” abortion in 2000 while dating her ex Justin Timberlake.
