Britney Spears has completely deleted her Instagram account of her own accord.

A source told UsWeekly that Britney “decided to turn off her own Instagram” just a day after telling her 40 million followers that she wanted to be “feared” rather than “loved.”

The 40-year-old retired pop star’s account disappeared on Wednesday.

Instagram officials told TMZ they didn’t delete it, further confirming reports that it was Britney’s choice.

Curiously, Britney, who preferred Instagram, did not delete it. TwitterFacebook, TikTok, YouTube or SoundCloud.

Spears’ latest Instagram post on Tuesday was about her returning to Las Vegas as a tourist for the first time since her Dominion residency was canceled in January 2019.

“The only thing I knew when I went to Vegas was an hour-long meet and greet with 40 people every night getting my worst pictures and then a two-hour show!” wrote the former mouseketeer.
