After opening up about her dislike for her family on social media, Britney Spears now wants to have coffee with her mother, Lynne Spears.
Spears, who has long complained about not being able to drink coffee or alcohol under her former conservatorship, invited her mother, 67, to a brew on Instagram on Tuesday.
‘After 15 years without coffee… Mom, we can have coffee together now!!! I’m treated as equals…let’s have a coffee and talk about it!!!’ Spears, 41, posted on her account along with a cropped photo of her body taken in Mexico.

Whether or not Spears was being sarcastic or sincere in her invitation remains to be seen.
It comes months after Spears accused her mother of hiding coffee from her every morning.
“Did you also tell people how you hid coffee every morning??? Did you tell them every morning when I was trying to find coffee,” Britney posted on Instagram, according to Page Six.

Earlier this year, Britney hit her mother after apologizing for all the pain that was being caused to her.
‘I’m so sorry for your pain!’ Lynne wrote. “I’ve been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you! Please unblock me so I can speak to you personally! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for everything that hurt you!”
Britney finally responded with, “Mom, take your apologies and fuck yourself!!!”

The latest post comes after Britney solved a mystery that has baffled many of her fans and reignited conspiracy theories claiming she is not responsible for her social media accounts, with many fans even believing she may be dead.
On Tuesday, the pop superstar released several semi-nude photos and videos of herself, which she said were taken in Mexico, although last week she claimed she was flying to New York.
But sources told TMZ that the singer fabricated her trip to New York to deter her fans and photographers who may have tried to shadow her, although the deception led some fans to speculate that she was incapacitated or even dead.
A now-deleted semi-nude video of Britney in the shower, shared shortly after the fake trip was announced last week, was reportedly recorded in Mexico, and Britney’s most recent posts, which claimed she was from Mexico, appear to show the same shower.

The fan theories that Britney hasn’t posted her own Instagram footage appear to have originated from fans who couldn’t believe the unpredictable nature of her posts, although they don’t represent a huge departure from her behavior over the past few months.
But the phantom trip to New York also seemed to have worried some followers.
On December 13, Britney posted a short video of herself on a private jet, along with a sweet clip of herself hugging her husband Sam Asghari.
She appeared particularly hyperactive in the video, fiddling around on the plane’s bed while kicking her legs.

Another element that confused some of Britney’s most covert fans was the presence of her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, 70, who both traveled to Los Angeles last week.
However, they weren’t visiting because of an emergency or anything Britney-related. Instead, the two were reportedly in town to support Britney’s brother Bryan Spears’ daughter.
They supported her by watching a Christmas production of The Nutcracker in which she appeared.
