Britney Spears posted an official promotion for her highly anticipated memoir “The Woman In Me” on her main Instagram page on Tuesday – a week before the book’s release.
The “Baby One More Time” singer, 41, who revealed in an excerpt that she had an abortion with Justin Timberlake, also thanked fans as the memoir has already taken the top spot on Amazon.
The beginning of the video began with a sleek white Mercedes driving through a winding road on a hill as the sun shone brightly.
In a voiceover, Spears could be heard saying, “One day I’m going to have a good book… a good mystery book.” Then a montage of the star through the years began playing, from iconic appearances to behind-the-scenes moments .
Then a man’s voice asked, “When was the last time you felt free?” Britney replied, “When I was allowed to drive my car.” Notably, earlier this month, the singer was pulled over and ticketed for “driving without a license.”

The Toxic hitmaker, who has been going through divorce proceedings with his estranged husband Sam Asghari, then said, as the voiceover continued: “I never wanted to become one of those prisoners.”
“I always wanted to get in my car and drive away and not let people make me feel like I had to stay home.”
In a throwback clip, Britney said directly to the camera: “You think you know, but you have no idea.”
Returning to the star’s recent voiceover, she said: “There’s a lot people don’t know, but I want them to know.”
Suddenly, a few clips of her on stage and in front of the camera played, and Britney added, “It’s really cool to see all the things I’ve done before because it felt like looking through your yearbook.” .”
Concluding the promo, she said, “It’s like I enjoy challenging myself and pushing myself to my limits.”
The video then switched to the opening shot of the car driving through the hills, and Spears emotionally expressed, “I will be strong. ‘I will be strong.’
Then a shot of her book being placed on the passenger seat of the vehicle appeared on the screen and the camera zoomed in on the title: “The Woman Within.”

In an excerpt obtained by People on Tuesday, the star revealed that she had an abortion with Justin Timberlake.
The former couple were together from 1999 until their split in 2002. She later married Kevin Federline, with whom she has sons Sean Preston (18) and Jayden (17). Their divorce was finalized in 2007.
The Mirrors hitmaker also has two sons Silas, eight, and Phineas, two, with his wife and actress Jessica Biel.
“It was a surprise, but for me it wasn’t a tragedy. “I loved Justin so much. I always expected that one day we would start a family together. “This was just going to happen a lot sooner than I expected,” she wrote.
“He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, we were way too young. ‘I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby.’
Britney continued: “I don’t know if that was the right decision. “If it had been left to me, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure he didn’t want to be a father.’

She revealed that the abortion was “one of the most excruciating things I have ever experienced in my life.” Since the claims, social media users and fans have harshly criticized Timberlake on Instagram.

In other excerpts from the memoir, also available to People, Spears also talks about how her father, Jamie Spears, “controlled her body and her money.”
