Britney Spears’ mother Lynne once “begs” the 41-year-old pop princess to mend her fractured relationship with younger sister Jamie Lynn – after the siblings embroiled the Toxic singer in a bitter and violent relationship when she was just 13 years old very public feud were conservatory.
The conservatory, where Britney’s father gave Jamie control of her life, finances, and medical decisions, created serious divisions within the Spears family and caused the pop star to distance herself from nearly all of her close family members.
In recent weeks, however, Britney, 41, has reconciled with her mother, Lynne, 68, and now a source has revealed to that the Spears matriarch “will not rest” until a truce is reached between her two daughters negotiated.
“Lynne is now begging Britney to make amends with her sister Jamie Lynn,” the insider shared. “They’re both inclined to say yes.” Lynne knows that Britney misses her sister, and she’s told her the feeling is obviously mutual.”

But, the source added, it takes some convincing to get Britney to the idea of a truce with her estranged sister – and an apology from Jamie Lynn, 32.
“Britney still feels like Jamie Lynn is the one who screwed it up and if they were to meet, she would have to come to her and not the other way around,” the source reveals, adding, “Lynne is now finding out how.” She’s supposed to do it.’ It happens, but she won’t rest until everything is perfect again.’
In May, after three years of estrangement, Lynne flew from Kentwood, Louisiana to LA for a surprise visit to Britney at her home in Thousand Oaks.
The stage mom’s efforts proved worthwhile as she sat down for 30 minutes and was able to sort out her issues and the unjustified damage caused by the horrific 13-year conservatory period Britney was born to by her father, Jamie Spears was forced , 70;
The insider says Britney and Lynne “have been in constant communication ever since.”
A separate source familiar with the situation tells that while Lynne is determined to get her girls back together, she is trying her best to deal with the situation by tackling it on a day-to-day basis.
“Lynne knows it will be some time before they get back together and get to the point where their relationship needs to be.”
“But she loves Britney more than anything and healing the wounds of the past is something she’s been striving for for a long time,” says the family confidante.

On November 12, 2021, Britney was released from a 13-year guardianship granted to her by her 70-year-old father Jamie – who she alleges mentally and emotionally abused her for financial reasons.
Britney believed her mother also played a role in her being held under guardianship. She made this clear to her fans on social media, where she shared countless posts about the pain she had endured.
Lynn apologized for her role in a post that read, “I’m so sorry for your pain.” I’ve been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you! Please unblock me so I can speak to you personally! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for everything that hurt you!’
Britney responded with, “Mom accept your apologies and fuck yourself!!!”
Months later, Britney asked her mother for a coffee — something she wasn’t allowed to indulge in during her conservatory years.
While in Mexico with her husband Sam Asghari, 29, Britney posted the following caption on Instagram: “After 15 years without coffee… Mom we can go have coffee together now!!!” I will treated as equals… let’s have a coffee and talk about it!!!’

On May 24, Lynne flew to LAX from her native Louisiana, TMZ reported, and was taken to the residence of Britney’s manager, Cade Hudson. From there, she took an Uber to Britney’s home in Southern California.
Britney was aware her mom would be visiting but wasn’t sure exactly when, a source told the outlet. After Lynne left, Britney shared her joy on Instagram, writing, “My sweet mama showed up on my doorstep yesterday after three years!”
“It’s been so long…with family there are always things that need to be worked out…but time heals all wounds!!!”
She continued, “And after being able to share what I’ve held on to for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed that we could try to make things RIGHT!!! ‘I love you so much!!!’
Britney also blamed her younger sister for not doing more to get her out of the horrible conservatory duty, which drove a wedge between them immediately after it was completed.
But their sisterly bond had been showing signs of strain for several years.
In April 2017, Jamie Lynn performed remixes of Britney’s songs during the Radio Disney Music Awards. Britney attended the show with Lynne and seemed very uncomfortable. She called her out of misstep in July 2021.
In April 2018, Jamie Lynn faced backlash when she rejected the Free Britney Movement by saying, “Who was there 10 years ago?” “I was here long before anyone else and will be here long after.”
When the conservatory hearings began, Jamie Lynn was accused of being on Britney’s payroll, which she denied. She also denied numerous allegations regarding her involvement.
In October 2021, their sisterly bond was severed when Jamie Lynn released her autobiography, Things I Should Have Said. In the book, she wrote that there were times when Britney’s behavior was “erratic, paranoid and spiraling.”
Speaking to Good Morning America in January 2022, Jamie Lynn vehemently defended herself against allegations that she had failed to help her sibling end guardianship.
‘If [the conservatorship] was set up when I was 17 years old [and] I was about to have a baby, so I didn’t understand what was happening or focus on it. I focused on the fact that I was 17 and about to have a baby,” she told GMA.

Although Jamie Lynn stated that she knew little of the details of the arrangement, she said she had made several attempts over the years to help her brother end guardianship.
“I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter. When she needed help, I found ways to support her,” she said.
She said Britney reached out to her and asked for her help to ensure her two sons, Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, were taken care of.
“There was a time when my sister – with her trust and will – asked me if I would be the person to make sure her boys got what they needed,” shared the singer-actress.
The drama between them seemed to go dormant until January 2023, when Jamie Lynn’s emotional confession about growing up in her sister’s shadow aired on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Jamie Lynn broke down in tears and confessed, “My sister became famous as a kid, world famous when I was very young.” I’m so proud of her, I love her dearly, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything to myself. “I struggle with my self-esteem all the time.”
Britney ranted on Instagram, saying, “Shall we say it was hard being my sister?” Hmmmmmmmmmmm…really???
