“I couldn’t go outside,” she continues. “I couldn’t drive a car. I had to donate blood weekly. I couldn’t bathe privately. I couldn’t close the door to my room.”
Britney texted from the facility Jamie Lynn SpearsShe asks for help, she writes. Her little sister’s response, according to the book, was, “Stop fighting it. There’s nothing you can do about it, so stop fighting it.”
Feeling betrayed, Britney wrote: “I didn’t understand how Jamie Lynn and our father had developed such a good relationship. She knew I was asking her for help…I felt like she should have been on my side.”
In early 2022, the siblings publicly discussed Jamie Lynn’s memoir Things I Should Have Said.
Jamie Lynn “told salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous,” Britney repeats in her book. But she loves her sister, she concludes, adding: “I’m working on feeling more compassion than anger for her and for anyone who I feel has wronged me. That’s not that easy.”
E! News has reached out to Jamie Lynn for comment. She said on E!’s Daily Pop! in 2022 that she and Britney “go back and forth, but at the end of the day the love and support will always be there.”
