Britney Spears took to Instagram on Thursday with a lengthy post, in which she opened up about questioning her beliefs under her former conservatorship, her intention to write a book about her experiences, and her message to others that she doesn’t are alone.
The 40-year-old musician told her 41.2million followers that about six months after the end of the 13-year conservatory chaired by her father Jamie Spears, she wondered if her life experiences, good and bad, were “in God’s hands” or in their own were coming to an end.
“Or was it because I was close to God and He was guiding me???” Spears said. “God knows I wasn’t perfect, but I know that…the consequences that came upon me for not committing a crime a day in my life made me question God!!!”

The Grammy winner said she’s experienced “torture” and “embarrassment” in her past, adding, “No one should have to go through anything [she] went through.
“I’ve made a point of capturing my experiences in a book that I’m writing…it’s all written in pages that people will hold with their own two hands…and hopefully have a better understanding…we all know that something, what we’re reading isn’t.” It’s not the same as your spirit experiencing the circumstances, but I feel like some people are touched.
The … Baby One More Time singer said her “experiences in the business have always been with a large number of people,” which contrasted starkly with “the isolation.” [she] was in there for four months.
“I used to like being alone, but it was my choice!!! My decision to go deeper and hear the whispers of the spirit…the kind of isolation I was forced upon was torture on all levels…confusion…why??? None of this makes any sense.’
