Britney Spears reveals details about her and Madonna’s kiss at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards in her autobiography The Woman in Me.
The kiss is considered one of the most iconic moments in music awards history.
According to Time Magazine, Britney said that she, Madonna and Christina Aguilera shared a symbolic kiss while rehearsing the performance of the song “Like a Virgin.”
However, just before she took the stage, the singer thought it would be a good idea to give her a real kiss.
In the book, Britney explained that Madonna was an artist’s model for her and was a mentor in the early years of her career.
“She is the center of attention because she made her appearance a condition. She created this life for herself,” he said.
The singer also revealed in her autobiography that she had an abortion in 1999, at the age of 17, while dating Justin Timberlake.
The experience, described by the artist as painful, was kept secret for 20 years and will be published in the book, due out on October 24th.
