Brother says former BBB Rodrigo Mussi prefers not to appear

Brother says former BBB Rodrigo Mussi ‘prefers not to appear for now’

Former BBB Rodrigo Mussi, 36, continues to make good progress during intensive rehabilitation after nearly a month in hospital following a serious car accident. However, he doesn’t want to appear to fans until he’s 100% recovered.

The new medical report released tonight by the former ‘Big Brother Brasil 22’ contestant (TV Globo) reports that he is ‘making good progress’ with the physiotherapy sessions and will not appear publicly until he is well.

“In a routine consultation, Rod went to the ophthalmologist after several tests. He also did physical and occupational therapy. He is making good progress and, despite the lack of fans, prefers to protect himself and not appear for the time being. He is 100% focused on his rehabilitation,” wrote Diogo Mussi, Rodrigo Mussi’s brother.

According to O Globo newspaper, he is being treated at the Lucy Montoro Network, an internationally recognized center that is skilled in technologies such as robotic physical therapy and play therapy. Rodrigo’s brother told the newspaper that the unit has “a first world structure”.

The Lucy Montoro Network is affiliated with the Hospital das Clínicas of the USP School of Medicine and is among the 20 institutions selected by the WHO (World Health Organization) as collaborating centers for rehabilitation.

At the rehabilitation center, Rodrigo performs a series of exercises to relearn basic movements. One of them is “play therapy”, which stimulates the upper limbs by putting the patient in a virtual game.

According to experts interviewed by the newspaper, one of the main benefits of using robots is the acceleration of rehabilitation: cases that would require, for example, a year of physiotherapy exercises in the pool have already been rehabilitated with robotic physiotherapy in less time.

criminal representation

One of Rodrigo Mussi’s brothers filed a criminal complaint against the driver Kaique Faustino Reis, who the police classified as “reckless”, in the accident involving the “BBB 22” participant.

The information was confirmed by delegate Júlio Geraldo, head of the 51st Police District in Butantã, west of the city of São Paulo, in contact with syringes.

“Now it’s up to the public prosecutor’s office,” said the delegate when asked about possible sanctions against the driver as a result of the accident.

The criminal police branch requests that the police investigation become a criminal offense through a complaint from the public prosecutor’s office. Júlio did not confirm whether Diogo Mussi, who frequently follows Rodrigo’s development, was the brother responsible for the initiative.

The delegate also provided details of the investigations already completed by the police and underlined that the driver was not charged with any valid measure punishing wrongful bodily harm.

“Police say he was reckless in working excessive hours and not addressing this issue of accidents. He’s caused similar accidents before,” he concluded of the driver.

The accident of the former participant of “BBB 22” (TV Globo) happened around 3 am on March 31 in Marginal Pinheiros, near the Eusébio Matoso Bridge, in São Paulo.

Rodrigo returned from the Cícero Pompeu de Toledo stadium, known as Morumbi, where he watched the first game of the Paulista Championship final. The emergency vehicle in which the former BBB crashed into the bed of a truck and he would have been thrown against the front of the vehicle.

Kaique Faustino Reis and the truck driver took a breathalyzer test and both came back negative.
