Browns: Nick Chubb doesn’t want Kareem Hunt to go

Despite competing on the field, running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are good friends, and Hunt wants Hunt to stay with the Cleveland Browns more than anything.

Hunt, from suburban Cleveland, hinted earlier this summer that he wants to continue the adventure with the Browns if he is due to complete the final season of his contract in 2022. However, it seems he didn’t like the Browns’ extension offers as he would have changed his tune and asked for a trade recently.

Hunt has received significant support from Chubb, one of the league’s top airlines, since he was drafted in 2018.

“I think it’s really important [de garder Hunt], Chubb launched after his team’s practice Monday, according to comments reported by the NFL Network. He’s my best friend, on and off the pitch. It’s a great person to be with. I can’t imagine playing without him. I want him here no matter what they do to keep him here. I want to play with Kareem.”

While Chubb rushed for a whopping 1,259 yards and had eight touchdowns in 14 games in 2021, Hunt was limited to 386 yards in eight games by injury. He has had two 1,000-yard rushing seasons since his NFL debut five years ago.
