In an interview with the New York Post, the producer said that he has tried to visit the star of his show every month since he was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia. “I don’t always stick with it, but I try, and I talk to him and his wife (Emma Heming Willis) and have an informal relationship with his three older children. I really tried to stay in his life,” he said.

The actor’s illness was first diagnosed in March 2022 and Glen Gordon Caron revealed that the star’s ability to communicate had significantly declined since then. “The amazing thing (about his illness) is that if you’ve ever spent time with Bruce Willis, (you know) no one had more joy in life than him. He loved life and…loved waking up every morning and trying to live life to the fullest,” he continued.

He explained that the actor still recognized him, adding: “He’s not entirely verbal, he was a big reader, he didn’t want anyone to know, but he doesn’t read now.” All this language skills are for him no longer accessible and yet he is still Bruce. When you’re with him, you know he’s Bruce and you’re grateful he’s there… but the joy of life is gone. »

Before Bruce Willis’ condition worsened, Glen Gordon Caron informed him that “Moonlight” had been acquired by Hulu and was being released for streaming. “I know he’s really happy that the show is available to people, even if he can’t tell me,” he concluded.
