Tallulah Willisone of the daughters of Bruce Willisinformed the public about the diagnosis from frontotemporal dementia, which the actor suffered from in 2023. The conversation took place while participating in The Drew Barrymore Show last Wednesday (8).
“He’s the same, which I think is the best thing you could ask for in that regard,” Tallulah revealed in a conversation with Drew Barrymore.
Tallulah, a 29yearold singer, is Willis’ youngest daughter with actress Demi Moore, to whom he was married for 13 years. The two are also parents to Rumer (35) and Scout (32). The actor later married model Emma Heming, with whom he had two daughters: Mabel and Evelyn, aged 11 and 9 respectively.
In the interview, Drew Barrymore asked Tallulah why the family was so open about the diagnosis. “Well, I think there are two reasons. On the one hand it’s about who we are as a family, but it’s also very important for us to raise awareness of this [sobre a doença]” replied the singer. “I see love when I’m with him, and it’s my dad and he loves me, which is really special,” he said.
diagnosis
The family announced Willis’ dementia diagnosis in a statement in February. At the time, they explained that “communication problems are one of the symptoms of the illness Bruce is facing” and said that “while painful, it is a relief for us to have a clear diagnosis.”
In 2022, he was also diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder that affects the ability to communicate.
