Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming is ‘grateful’ after diagnosis

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming thanked fans for their love after announcing the actor has been diagnosed with aphasia.

“Your love, support, compassion and prayers are really helping. I’m thankfull. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Heming, 43, wrote in a post on her Instagram story on Thursday.

Willis’ family announced in a statement on Wednesday that he was “retiring from the career that has meant so much to him” due to aphasia, a condition that affects his ability to communicate.

“This is a truly challenging time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support,” the family said. “We’re going through this as a strong family unit and wanted to include his fans because we know how much he means to you, just as you mean to him.”

Page Six exclusively reported that Willis, 67, has had trouble remembering his lines on the sets of his recent films.

“He had cognitive problems; They all knew Bruce was struggling,” an insider told us. “Everyone knew it, the cast and the crew. His family has stepped in; They moved in to take care of him.”

The source added that the Die Hard star “uses earbuds… to get him the lines” and that “it was getting harder and harder to get him on screen.” Also, a body double was apparently used, not only for stunts, but also to “maximize” his screen time.

“He couldn’t act anymore,” the insider said.

Before the news of her husband’s diagnosis, the model shared a photo on Instagram on March 21 of her and Willis in tears at their wedding.

“13 years ago these wedding speeches really blew our minds 🤍😂,” she wrote.
