For the second year in a row, the Montreal Canadiens will face the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, this time at TD Garden, and will once again have to keep an eye on forward David Pastrnak, who is surprisingly making some impressive plays.

If he keeps up the pace, Pastrnak will finish the season with around sixty goals and 131 points, despite the retirements of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.

“I thought he would have more problems producing without Bergy and of course Krejci working with him. However, I also know this at our end-of-year meeting [2022-2023]“I told him there would be more on his shoulders next year,” Montgomery told the Boston Globe on Wednesday. It was clear to us that both would leave. He looked at me and said, “Yeah, I expect that.” Don’t worry about it.” That’s what he told me. And now I’m not worried.”
Last week, Pastrnak had an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss at the Bell Center. The next game between Canadiens and Bruins will be broadcast on TVA Sports this Saturday at 7 p.m.
