Bruins send message to Panthers

In the duel at the top of the Atlantic Division, the Boston Bruins won 3-1 against the Florida Panthers in Sunrise on Wednesday evening.

The Massachusetts club improved its record to 14-1-3, while its rivals now boast a record of 12-6-1. It was also the second time in as many games between the two teams that the Bears won.

Remember, the Panthers pulled off a huge upset by eliminating the Bruins in the first round of the last playoffs.

In today’s duel, Charlie Coyle, John Beecher and Jake DeBrusk put the puck behind goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovski.

Anton Lundell was the only Panthers skater to defeat Linus Ullmark. The latter achieved his seventh win of the current season with 27 saves.

At the other end of the ice, Bobrowski parried 22 of the 25 pucks sent his way.

Another defeat for the Oilers

In Raleigh, the Edmonton Oilers lost 5-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes.

For Connor McDavid and his gang it is the third defeat in a row. They now have a record of 5-12-1.

Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen and Seth Jarvis each contributed a goal and an assist in the win. Further success for the winners came from the bats of Jack Drury, Jesper Fast, Martin Necas and Brent Burns.

The Oilers’ response was the work of Zach Hyman (twice) and Mattias Ekholm.
