The actor was run over in Rio and is in serious condition

“I have been living in great fear since September 2nd. My main concern was Kayky’s health. During this time, I maintained constant contact with his family, who always kept me updated on his progress. Since he was discharged and had access to his mobile phone.” “We chat and he told me about his clinical and physiotherapy progress. That calmed my heart,” de Luca began.

“These two months also taught me valuable lessons about life, responsibility, boundaries and how life can be turned upside down in a matter of seconds. Since Kayky moved to Curitiba a little over a year ago, our meetings have become less frequent. That evening we met” to celebrate the new moments in our lives: fatherhood, family, new goals. Unfortunately, all this excitement led us to drink too much and this excess turned the celebration into a tragedy,” he explained.

Afterwards, Bruno said he consulted psychiatrists and used techniques to help him overcome the trauma of the accident.

“I do hypnotherapy, guided meditation and think a lot. The accident I witnessed left me in a state of shock and excitement. I had witnessed a death in my head. All of these events that night affected my ability to recognize and coordinate.” “I was completely out of control and mentally shaken,” he reported.

And he added: “As much as our lives completely changed that day, I have chosen to be grateful. Grateful that Kayky was alive, that he had another chance. Grateful that Diones provided immediate assistance. For not having any more victims. For I have a wonderful family that supports me in difficult times. I would like to thank my partner Sthefany for all her love and patience, for always being by my side, helping me gain clarity and looking out for our greatest good.”

Finally, the 41yearold actor explained that he and his friend had learned a lot from the accident and were trying to take something positive from what happened.

“In these 41 years I have experienced incredible moments and challenges that have shaped me as a person. Today I am determined to take care of my mental health and turn this experience into something positive and transformative. We grow and develop with ourselves.” Mistakes and stumbling blocks. And that’s it. I will pass this on to my daughter throughout my life, there will always be a new chance for a fresh start. And I start over by looking within and trying to overcome my own obstacles, with the certainty that life is beautiful and short. Happiness is a precious commodity that one must strive for every day. I will continue to look for mine,” he concluded. (Bruno’s full position can be found at the end of this article)

Remember the collision

The collision occurred on Avenida Lúcio Costa in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Kayky Brito was at the Dona Maria kiosk with Bruno de Luca and decided to cross the street to his friend’s car. At that moment he was hit by the car of Diones Coelho da Silva, an app driver who was carrying a passenger. Kayky suffered polytrauma and spent 27 days in hospital fighting a long and arduous battle to recover.

Images from surveillance cameras revealed the moment of the accident as well as Bruno’s reaction, who allegedly left the scene of the accident without providing assistance. He initially stated that he did not know the victim was Kayky and that he could not remember the details due to the trauma of that day.

When Kayky first appeared in a video on social media a month ago, several celebrities celebrated his recovery. Actress Flavia Alessandra expressed her joy at seeing Kayky again and Guilherme Leicam stressed the importance of her recovery. “It’s good that you’re well, brother,” he wrote. Rodrigo Mussi, exBBB, and other artists also demonstrated on social media, showing solidarity and support for the actor.

In the video, Kayky thanked his followers for their prayers and mentioned driver Diones Coelho da Silva:

“Thank you to all of you, my fans, who sent messages. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have read all the messages. Thanks to the driver who saved my life and called the fire department. Thanks to me.” Family. Life is a miracle. I’m talking here and going up,” Kayky said.

However, one aspect that caught our attention was the lack of any mention of Bruno de Luca in the video. Although the two friends continue to follow each other on social media, Bruno’s omission from Kayky’s statement raised questions about the relationship between the two following the incident.

Bruno De Luca said he was afraid to leave the house

The driver who ran over Kayky said on his social network on Wednesday (1) that he had spoken to Bruno De Luca, who said he was in a very bad mental state and was afraid to leave the house. Last month, prosecutor Márcio Almeida Ribeiro da Silva of Rio de Janeiro’s Ministry of State released a statement calling for De Luca to be charged with failure to provide assistance.

“He came to me and asked for my number so we could talk. On that call, he thanked me very much, moved by the help I had given his friend. And I said that we have to thank God that I was an instrument and I behaved like a citizen. I emphasized that I wanted to talk about him, how he felt and how he lived these days. He told me that he was in a very bad mental state, afraid of going out, afraid of people, “Because of everything they say to him on the Internet, I said that I am here to help him and to help in any way we can,” he said.

Delegate Ângelo Lages, head of the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca), stated on September 27 that he would not charge the moderator Bruno De Luca for failure to provide assistance, since the “legal duty” of the request rested with the driver who called the authorities. According to the delegate, “Once a person asks for help, those present at the scene are relieved of responsibility.”

But promoter Márcio Almeida Ribeiro da Silva thinks differently. In the demonstration, he reiterates Bruno’s responsibility to help Kayky or any other victim.

“Mr Bruno did nothing to help the person who was run over. He has stated that he didn’t even know he was his friend, he simply walked away without regard to the end result of the accident he witnessed, and even stated that he believed the victim had died, of which he was certain was that he didn’t even know if anyone had called the fire department to help the victim even if he left the place without even knowing how he got home or how he returned, which leads to the conclusion that that it didn’t even know help was being asked,” he wrote.

In a statement, Bruno de Lucas’s defense said that the actor did not commit such a crime. “There is no criminal offense of failure to provide assistance if someone who was in the vicinity of the accident provides assistance to the victim. Bruno was not the person who caused the accident, who has a special obligation to provide assistance, which he actually did and does not do.” “If this were the case, everyone present who was not the person who called the fire department would have done so Failure to provide assistance,” the statement says.

When contacted, the actor’s advisor Kayky Brito reported that he had “nothing to say on the matter.”

“I have been living in great fear since September 2nd. My main concern was Kayky’s health. During this time, I maintained constant contact with his family, who always kept me updated on his progress. Since he was discharged and had access to his mobile phone, we have been talking and he has told me about his clinical and physiotherapy progress. That calmed my heart.

But these 2 months also taught me valuable lessons about life, responsibility, boundaries and how life can be turned upside down in a matter of seconds. Since Kayky moved to Curitiba a little over a year ago, our meetings have become less frequent. That evening we met to celebrate the new moments in our lives: fatherhood, family, new goals. Unfortunately, all the excitement caused us to drink too much and this excess turned the celebration into a tragedy.

Since then, I’ve been seeing psychiatrists, doing hypnotherapy, guided meditation and thinking a lot. The accident I saw left me in a state of shock and anger. I had witnessed a death in my head. All of these events that night affected my ability to recognize and coordinate. I was completely out of control and mentally shattered. According to Dr. According to Júlia Fandiño, a psychiatrist I visited, I experienced mental confusion during a traumatic experience that developed into dissociative amnesia. According to science, dissociative amnesia is a type of memory loss caused by trauma or stress that results in an inability to remember important personal information.

I still remember a few brief moments of the final moments of that night: I said goodbye to Kayky, turned around to pay the bill, a big noise, someone was thrown. From then on there was only screaming and confusion. A lot of people are running. Then complete blackout.

The next day I woke up late to go to the airport. I had a job in São Paulo. Shaken by the accident I had witnessed, I sent a message to Kayky asking where he was, whether he saw what happened and whether I was scared. Of course he didn’t answer. On the way to the airport, Kayky’s sister called me. When I saw the label “Sthefany Brito” I was sure it was Kayky saying he lost his phone. I replied, “Say, bro, you lost your phone, right?” But the voice was Sthefany’s, telling me she was worried he hadn’t come home. I told him to be with his parents as I said goodbye to him.

I continued on my way and Kayky’s sister called me again. He said he received information that he had been hospitalized. I said that I had seen a very serious accident, but he had left first and I had left afterwards. In my opinion he would never have been the one who caused the accident. I offered to go to the hospital to see if he was there, it was on my route. Sthefany told me to go to the airport, that she was already on her way and would give me some news.

As I got on the plane, I saw news on websites saying he had been run over. I couldn’t believe what was happening. While I was reading the news, the plane took off for São Paulo. I asked my father and brother to go to the hospital. As soon as I arrived, I received calls from my father at the hospital telling me about Kayky’s condition. I quit my job, got back on the first flight I got a seat on, and went straight to his family’s house. We talked, we got very emotional. Kayky’s family never doubted what I told them. During this more than 20year friendship, we experienced many happy but also very delicate moments in which I was always by Kayky’s side. Your family knows me very well, they know how great our friendship is.

I have always valued my friends very much. One of my greatest qualities is being a unifying person, bringing different tribes together and moving forward using whatever means possible. Unfortunately, we cannot control our emotions and train ourselves to behave in extreme moments such as accidents, robberies, fires, etc.

Of course, if I could have chosen, my reaction would have been different, I would have been much more proactive and, most importantly, we would have left earlier and safely. My regret that evening is that I didn’t pull Kayky tighter when I realized it was late and left.

Even though our lives changed completely that day, I decided to be grateful. Be grateful that Kayky is alive, that he has been given a new chance. Thank you for Diones’ immediate help. Because there was no other victim. For having a wonderful family that supports me in difficult times. I would like to thank my partner Sthefany for all her love and patience, for always being by my side, for helping me gain clarity and for looking out for our greatest good.

During these 41 years I have experienced incredible moments and challenges that have shaped me as a person. Today I am committed to taking care of my mental health and turning this experience into something positive that changes me.

We grow and develop with our mistakes and stumbling blocks. And I will pass that on to my daughter throughout her life, there will always be a new chance for a fresh start. And I start looking inward again and trying to overcome my own obstacles, with the certainty that life is beautiful and short. Happiness is a precious commodity that must be sought every day. I’ll keep looking for mine.
