Bruno Mars cancels sold-out Tel Aviv concert as Hamas launches invasion of Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu declares ‘We are at war’

Bruno Mars’ sold-out concert in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening was canceled due to the bloody flare-up of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In the morning, Hamas launched a surprise invasion of Israel from the occupied Gaza Strip, firing a barrage of thousands of rockets and breaching the border by land, sea and air.

The death toll in Israel is over 200, at least 1,100 have been injured and an unknown number of civilians and soldiers have been kidnapped. According to local health authorities, Israel responded with airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, killing over 200 people.

“Citizens of Israel, we are at war,” declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, vowing to strike back “on a scale and with an intensity the enemy has never experienced before.” The enemy will pay an unprecedented price.”

As the violence continued to rage, Live Nation Israel announced that Bruno’s concert in Tel Aviv had been canceled and ticket prices would be refunded.

“Dear customers, Bruno Mars’ performance scheduled for tonight has been canceled,” the company wrote on Instagram in Hebrew.

“All ticket purchasers for the show will receive an automatic refund to the credit card used to make the purchase.” “We stand with the residents of Israel, the IDF fighters and the security forces in these difficult moments.”

The attack from Gaza began a day after Egypt’s 50th anniversary and Syria’s October Surprise that sparked the Yom Kippur War.

As the attack unfolded this Saturday, Hamas gunmen stormed through Israeli towns, shooting both residents and soldiers.

Horrifying footage has emerged of the militants kidnapping Israeli civilians, including old ladies and injured, bloodied young women.

The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday after Hamas loudly called on other Muslim countries to join its war effort.

Chants of “Death to Israel!” and “Death to America!” rang out in the Iranian parliament, and the Taliban have reportedly asked whether Iran, Iraq and Jordan could allow them to travel through the three countries to “conquer Jerusalem.”

Bruno Mars gave his very first concert in Israel this Wednesday evening, singing in front of a whopping 63,000 fans in Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv.

According to local news agency Ynet, Israelis from across the country traveled to Tel Aviv to see the sold-out performance.

On stage that night, Mars added a local touch to the proceedings, revealing that he had learned to say “I love you” in Hebrew.

Saturday night was to be his second and final show in Israel, also at Yarkon Park, before it was canceled due to the war.

Mars is still scheduled to appear at the Qatar Grand Prix in Lusail this Sunday. He will then take a break before continuing his tour in Florida in December.
