A shocking case of serial murder has occurred in Rwanda. Police discovered more than ten bodies in a suspect’s kitchen, which were buried there and some were doused with acid.
According to local police, the 34-year-old suspect met his victims, men and women, in bars and then lured them to his rented house on the outskirts of Kigali. There he got rid of their phones and other personal items before strangling them and burying their bodies in a pit in his kitchen.
More than 10 victims
Most of the victims would be prostitutes. Rwandan media reported more than ten bodies, and a Rwandan Investigation Bureau (RIB) source spoke of 14 victims. The suspect was arrested in July on suspicion of rape and robbery, but was released on bail due to lack of evidence, a spokesman for the investigation department said.
Partially dissolved in acid
As part of an investigation, the bodies were discovered in the grave during a house search. According to information, the perpetrator dissolved some victims in acid. Apparently, he specifically chose people who had no close relatives or friends to ensure that no one would be worried after his disappearance.
