“Everyone said, ‘You’re going to love it and all.’ And I said, ‘Well, let me clear that up.’

The cocktail star said it wasn’t until his first grandson, Zan, finally “came along” and his entire mindset changed.

“Just like everyone else, I went Goo Goo and grabbed him and wanted to be with him the whole time,” he added. ,So life is!’

Matilda, an actress, writer and director, also shares younger daughter Anouk, whom she welcomed with husband Scott Gooding in 2021.

After Zan’s birth, Matilda was open about her journey through motherhood and documented her experiences with her family on social media.

“What was life before Zan? I can’t even remember. I never want to go back either,” she wrote in a 2019 post.

That same year, she also spoke about her father Bryan’s involvement in the birth of their son.

“The night I went into labor, Dad was supposed to take my mom to the hospital (mom was my doula) and then wait in the waiting room,” she recalled.

“But he ended up coming into the room and staying throughout the birth. When I pushed Zan out at the end, my dad stroked my head and my mom cheered me on, cried and said, “C’mon Til, he’s so close!”
