Bryan Kohberger, a suspect in the Idaho murder case, foregoes a speedy trial

BREAKING NEWS: Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger appears in court in a T-shirt as he waives his right to a speedy trial: The accused killer will return to court for a preliminary hearing in June

A tentative hearing date has been set for Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger, who appeared in court today in an orange T-shirt for a brief hearing.

The 28-year-old will return to Moscow for a preliminary hearing on June 26 – six months from now.

He waived his right to a speedy trial today and was held without bail after a brief court appearance.

Kohberger’s attorneys previously said he denied the murders, but he has not yet filed a lawsuit.

So far, Kohberger has only appeared before judges from the Idaho District Courts Division.

If the case goes to court – which is to be expected – it will be transferred to the district division, which is reserved for more serious crimes.

The June hearing will determine whether there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to Division Court.

Once it does, Kohberger will be prompted to enter a plea.
