We’re in Tampa where the Buccaneers host the Rams in a rematch of the Divisional Round playoff game that sent Los Angeles to the NFC Championship a year ago. Both teams have come a long way since then, and not in a good way, with both Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford desperate for a turnaround. Bradys Bucs are trying to avoid a fourth straight loss while LA needs a win to return to .500 and keep up with the Seahawks and 49ers in the hard-fought NFC West.
Tampa Bay, in particular, is looking for a jolt on offense where Brady has so far been unable to raise a unit riddled with inconsistent execution or predictable game calls. But the Rams boast one of the liveliest defenses in the game, led as always by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, tasked with taking out Brady’s top targets in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Is Brady finally ready to get the Bucs back on track at home? Or is Sean McVay better positioned for the “W” in this case? Either way, it’s a must-watch on TV. Stay tuned here during Sunday’s showdown for live updates and analysis.
