Bull captured after NJ TRANSIT service was delayed at Newark Penn Station

NEWARK, N.J. – A bull ran onto the New Jersey TRANSIT tracks in Newark on Thursday, causing delays for passengers in Manhattan.

According to police, the bull was spotted on Frelinghuysen Avenue near Victoria Street around 10:45 a.m. and was eventually corralled into a fenced area. A local animal shelter will now recover and care for it.

NJ TRANSIT posted a photo of the bull on social media, showing him on the tracks near Newark Penn Station.

There was a delay of up to 45 minutes between Penn Station, but trains are back to normal service, with some residual delays.

Newark Liberty International Airport also advised travelers to allow extra time while police responded to the area.

At this point it is unclear where the bull came from.
