A bus carrying 35 children caught fire in the Belgian province of Antwerp on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened in the Puurs-Saint-Amands sector on the national road 16 towards Willebroek when the bus caught fire.
Local media reported that no one among the young passengers and their companions was injured in the fire. The children are all “healthy and safe”.
“The driver parked the bus on the side of the road and all passengers were able to get off safely,” local police said without further information.
The cause of this devastating fire has not yet been clarified as the investigation has not yet reached any conclusions regarding this accident which ultimately caused more fear than harm.
