As part of the actions to promote the Cuban tourist destination, a delegation from the island will take part in the BIT Tourism Fair in Milan, the most important international event in northern Italy in this field.
The fair will promote Cuban heritage cities, nature, history, culture and sun and beach tourism, especially in Cayo Largo del Sur and Varadero, where the 40th edition of the Fair of FITCUBA Tourism 2022 will be held from May 3rd to 7th, 2022 .
The main purpose of this meeting is to position Cuba as a destination in the Italian market, one of the main emitters of tourism in the Caribbean nation.
The Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Mirta Granda Averhoff, heads the Cuban delegation, which is also made up of the Minister of Tourism and representatives of the Gran Caribe, Cubanacán, Islazul hotel chains; as well as the affiliated hoteliers: Meliá Hotels International, Iberostar and Blue Diamond Resorts, Barceló Hotels, Accord, NH, Muthu, as well as the travel agencies Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Gaviota, Paradiso, Havanatur Italia, the airline Cubana de Aviación and a representation of the most important Italian ones tour operator.
